No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimates

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide clients who are uninsured or not using insurance benefits with a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the anticipated cost of your mental health care services before receiving treatment. This estimate includes the expected costs of counseling and related services provided by The Samaritan Center at the Jersey Shore.

Please note that a Good Faith Estimate is based on the information known at the time it is provided and may be subject to change depending on your treatment needs, frequency of sessions, or additional services recommended during care.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services or at any time during treatment.

For questions about your rights under the No Surprises Act or to request a Good Faith Estimate, please contact our office.
